In classical Chinese medicine Reishi extract supports immune and liver health.

The Red Reishi fruit body (Ganoderma lucidum) has the most complex constituent profile of any of the well known medicinal mushrooms (or their mycelium). Like many medicinal mushrooms it contains polysaccharides, ergesterols, and adenosine compounds. However, unique to this species are the "ganoderic acids" or "triterpenes". Contained within the hard, shiny red surface of the mushroom, these are the compounds specifically beneficial for liver, cardiovascular health.

Reishi traditionally is used to promote good health and prevention. Reishi is one of the most highly regarded herbs for this purpose and it is one of the mushroom most often used as a general health tonic.

Modern clinical research also supports many of the uses for this mushroom as described in traditional medicine. It benefits immune health and liver function. Reishi is also frequently used by mountain climbers to combat altitude sickness and is contained in many of the performance enhancing herbal formulas.

Our extract is a 20 x 1 super strength extract, and is not diluted with un-extracted mushroom material like most commercially available Reishi products. It is carefully processed, at low temperatures, with both water and alcohol to ensure the presence of all the important bio-active compounds.

With a guaranteed minimum potency of 12% polysaccaride and 4% triterpenes, our Reishi Mushroom Extract matches or exceeds the quality of any Reishi extract now available on the market, and is the most cost-effective method of delivering the many benefits of this fine medicinal mushroom.
